Hello
Today In our Wananga class we were learning about taha tinana and what it is.
Our teacher has told us to make a blog post about Taha Tinana, what it is, what to do to help it, what we already do, and what we need to do better
What is Taha Tinana?
There are 4 walls in a whare and Taha Tinana is one of them. Taha Tinana is Physical wellbeing. Physical wellbeing is looking after yourself physically . Taha tinana is your physical wellbeing. It is about how your body grows, feels and moves, and how you care for it. Nourishing and strengthening your physical wellbeing helps you to cope with the ups and downs and life. Feeling physically well helps you feel mentally well.
What do I do that supports the wall Taha Tinana?
- I brush my teeth twice a day
- I take daily showers
- I wash my hair every second day
- I take care of myself
- I make sure I eat in the morning
Things I probably need to do better
- Wash my face better
- Keep my stuff tidy
- Exercise more
- Sleep more hours
- Go to sleep earlier
Learning more about Taha Tinana has been cool we have been learning about the different walls of te whare tapa wha, it has been super cool to learn about more things that are in Maori and the meaning of Taha Tinana is physical wellbeing, That’s what I learned
