I want to find out how to make a paper bridge that supports the most weight across a 20cm gap.
- A4 Paper
- Tape
Instructions:
1.) Get 4 A4 papers
2.) Make your A4 paper face landscape.
3.) Use the pencil to roll your paper.
4.) Take the pencil out of the paper once it’s rolled.
5.) Put sellotape to keep the paper shut so it doesn’t roll out of place.
6.) Repeat that 3 more times with your 3 A4 papers
7.) Put 1 roll on top of the other and do the same to the other one.
8.) Put them together with sellotape (like a bridge)
9.) get 2 pieces of A4 paper and place them on top of the paper rolls
10.) Repeat the same technique on the bottom
Then you are finished with your product.
Results:
I actually teamed up with kate to create another base. And I’m actually quite surprised because our bridges held 10+ kg, we actually held the most weight in our class and our science teacher tried to see if our chair could hold it, unfortunately, it wasn’t able to hold it but it’s alright. I have some videos please ignore my class there very loud especially when Kate and I bet everyone so I suggest turning your volume down 🙂 (I have to put the links as the files are too big)
